“We know Sarawak is among the States that have produced athletes not only at the State or national levels but also the international level.

“There are a lot of Olympians from Sarawak too and we never miss (not having Sarawakian athletes in Olympics),” he told reporters when met at Sukma 2024 Media Centre, Celebration Square Petra Jaya here today.

He also mentioned that other States are also giving out similar incentives to their respective athletes.

He further hoped that such incentives would give a sense of appreciation to the athletes and at the same time, encourage them to strive for better results in Sukma 2024.

At the same time, Adam praised the Sarawak government’s efforts in organising the Sukma event this year, hoping that it could become a benchmark for the next events.

“Although some of the venues are not brand-new infrastructuresm but most of them are near to the communities which provide accessibility for the local people to come and watch the sport events apart from promoting local places throughout Sarawak,” he stated. — DayakDaily
