KUCHING, March 20: The flying doctor service (FDS) in Sarawak will continue three times a year for areas that still need health services, said Deputy Health Minister Lukanisman Awang Sauni.
According to a news report from TV Sarawak (TVS) yesterday (March 19), Lukanisman, who is Sibuti MP, said so far, the programme has been implemented in Kuching, Sibu, and Miri.
He also said the programme had been mobilised since March 17 and, on average, provided services to about 22 patients.
He added the Medevac (medical evacuation service) programme is also being continued, and this has been placed in Budget 2023. — DayakDaily
