He explained that his departure did not mean he was quitting the political world or DAP, and instead hinted that he would make a strong comeback after his “vacation” to better represent his people.

“Never have I once regretted joining politics as it has taught me the value of real life. It has been my passion and I can never quit as it runs in my blood.

“As a social democrat, I will remain as DAP’s lifetime member. Maybe luck was not on my side. Nevertheless, the time will eventually come for me to represent my people.

“When the time comes for me, I will be more than ready to make a strong comeback!” he wrote.

At the age of 32, Aziz said this is the best time for him to “venture into a world full of opportunities and possibilities”.

“The last thing I would like to say is that you can achieve a lot of things in politics. You can get a lot of things done. And that in the end, the public service, the national interest, that is what it is all about.

“Nothing is really impossible if you put your mind to it. After all, I was the future once,” he said.

In the recent 12th Sarawak Election, Aziz contested in N13 Batu Kitang and was defeated by incumbent Lo Khere Chiang who secured 4,163 majority votes. ā€” DayakDaily
