KUCHING, March 28: Eight Covid-19 clusters in Sarawak registered new cases today while four clusters were declared ended after reporting zero cases in the past 28 days.
According to reports from the State Disaster Management Committee, the eight clusters which reported new cases are the Emperoh Jambu cluster (Kuching), Jalan Sanyan cluster (Sibu), Jalan Tanjung and Jalan Tanjung Kidurong clusters (Bintulu), Jalan Merpati and Lorong Desa Senadin clusters (Miri), Kampung Baru Hilir cluster (Samarahan) and the Tanjung Genting cluster (Sarikei).
The Emperoh Jambu cluster showed the largest gain with 10 new cases followed by the Jalan Sanyan cluster which registered six new cases.
In Bintulu, the Jalan Tanjung cluster reported five new cases and the Jalan Tanjung Kidurong reported three new cases.
In Miri, the Jalan Merpati cluster registered three new cases while the Lorong Desa Senadin cluster reported one new case.
The Kampung Baru Hilir cluster in Samarahan produced three new cases and the Tanjung Genting cluster in Sarikei witnessed two new cases.
Meanwhile, four clusters which were declared ended are the Rakut cluster in Miri, the Seruas cluster in Beluru, the Kejatau cluster in Sri Aman and the Jan Yong Cluster in Kapit.
There are currently 32 active Covid-19 clusters in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
