KUCHING, Jan 30: Covid-19 patients who are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic will be monitored through the Home Assessment Tool (HAT) via the MySejahtera app starting this year.

According to Ministry of Health (MOH), the Home Surveillance Order (HSO) and Release Order (RO) digital certificates are valid and applicable under the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act 1988 (Act 342).

“Employers are urged to accept the relevant certificate as a valid certificate of asymptomatic and symptomatic Covid-19 patients,” the ministry said in a Facebook post today.

At the same time, employees need to report their Covid-19 status honestly and may lodge a complaint in the event that the employer refuses to accept HSO and RO digital certificates at jtksm@mohr.gov.my for further action.

“Virtual monitoring of Covid-19 patients continues by the task force at Covid Assessment Centres (CAC) and health clinics’ fever centres.

“Meanwhile, the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) at the State level will continue to be responsible for monitoring the Covid-19 situation in their respective states,” it added. — DayakDaily
