KUCHING, May 9: Police are conducting further investigations into the motive behind a trip to London by 24-year-old Cathlyenn Santa Liong Siu Zhen and 21-year-old Muhamad Izzat Asnawai last Saturday.
In a TVS news report, Limbang district police chief, Supt Parum Niot, said the investigation is focusing on the online ticket booking, which was obtained via an email linked to the man involved.
He added that police managed to trace Izzat’s email, through which they found the flight tickets that were booked online.
He also said that Cathlyenn and Muhamad Izzat, both from Limbang, are still in London.
“The latest information confirms they were on the same flight and had booked their tickets together to London. Based on the ticket booking, they boarded a flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to London last Saturday,” he told the media today.
Parum said that police are currently awaiting further updates from the Malaysian High Commission in London regarding the two Sarawakians.
Both families have appealed for assistance from various parties to ensure the safety of their children and have urged them to return home safely. Two police reports were lodged regarding their disappearance, which also went viral on social media after their families sought help in locating them.
It is understood that the pair were last seen at Horizon Suites, Selangor, last Saturday and have been unreachable since 10pm on the same day. — DayakDaily
