KUCHING, July 8: Police are on the hunt for a suspect believed to have shot three individuals using a shotgun at Mile 19 of Jalan Kuching-Serian.
Padawan district police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, in a statement today, said they received a report at 1.57am today from a 26-year-old local man informing that three of his friends were shot in an incident that occurred behind a supermarket.
“Investigation found that all three victims, aged 24 to 25, sustained gunshot wounds on the body.
“They (the victims) are currently receiving treatment at the Sarawak General Hospital and are in stable condition,” he said.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code and Section 8 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971. — DayakDaily
