KUCHING, March 12: Sarawak is expected to experience continuous rain in southern Sarawak from Kuching up to Betong until tomorrow (March 13).
Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia), in a statement issued at 12.30pm today, listed Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Betong divisions as the affected areas.
The weather forecast is issued as a yellow warning, indicating signs that rain or thunderstorms are expected to occur for more than six hours in an area.
In a previous report issued at 7.15pm last night, the department predicted heavy rain centred in Kuching and Samarahan with an orange warning.
The orange warning is issued when there are indications that continuous heavy rain is expected to occur, with rainwater exceeding 60mm within six hours. — DayakDaily
