KUCHING, March 29: Chinese scientists exploring the ecotourism potential in Sarawak have commended Borneo Cultures Museum for its world-class exhibits.

Chen Rui, a zoologist of the Institute of Zoology who is also General Director of Paleo Diary Science Club in China said the way the artefacts were exhibited and presented in the museum was impressive.

“I am also an adviser to many museums in China. I found the Borneo Cultures Museum to be leading the way in how artefacts are exhibited.

“The way it has been designed, is able to appeal to the senses. It manages to create an intended sensuous effect, thus reaching an impressive standard,” said Chen during a press conference at Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) here today.

The Paleo Diary Science Club, which is made up of top scientists in China and an official organisation to recommend eco-tourism destinations for the nation, has identified Sarawak as the place with highest potential due to the region’s biodiversity. — DayakDaily
