KUCHING, March 6: China’s aircraft manufacturer, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (COMAC), is exploring opportunities to expand its business into Sarawak.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), this potential partnership was discussed between the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, who is also the Minister of International Trade, Industry, and Investment of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, and the COMAC delegation led by chief financial officer Yu Xihai during a courtesy visit at Wisma Sumber Alam here today.
During the courtesy visit, the COMAC delegation introduced their aircraft products and discussed potential cooperation with Sarawak.
This aligns with the Sarawak government’s efforts to strengthen the aviation sector and related industries.
Also present at the meeting were the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching, Xing Wei Ping, Deputy Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment of Sarawak Datuk Malcolm Mussen Lamoh, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment of Sarawak (MINTRED) Dzulkornain Masron, and senior officials from the Sarawak Ministry of Transport. – DayakDaily
