KUCHING, May 29: The Centre of Technical Excellence (Centexs) Commercial will provide opportunities for Sarawakian entrepreneurs to market their products internationally in September.
According to a news report published today by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Centexs general manager Mohamad Shahren Mohamad Yusri stated that they had been given the trust and responsibility to commercialise Sarawak heritage products through the ‘Sense of Malaysia’ programme.
“Centexs Comercial has been given the responsibility by the Malaysia Design Development Centre (DDEC) to bring local products to be promoted or commercialised at airports in Malaysia in collaboration with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad through the Sense of Malaysia (SOM) programme, where Kuching International Airport (KIA) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) have been selected as the starting locations,” he said.
Mohamad Shahern said this at the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) building during a community technical outreach programme through the ‘Bina Jenama Sampai Ke Bulan’ seminar.
He went on to say that products with Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) -certified logos and brands will persuade consumers and encourage purchases, contributing to the success of the Centexs Commercial initiative to bring Sarawak heritage food and craft products to the international market.
