KUCHING, Dec 24: A fire broke out at the VivaCity Megamall multilevel carpark at about 1.54pm today, forcing hundreds of workers and Christmas shoppers to evacuate the mall.
According to Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement, two vehicles were burnt on the fourth floor, which led to evacuation of the shopping centre.
Ten firefighters from Tabuan Jaya station were despatched to the scene
No injuries were reported and operations ended at 3.16pm.
An investigation into the cause of fire will be carried out. — DayakDaily
