Cambodia fraud case: Suspect’s remand extended to March 3

KUCHING, Feb 28: The first suspect who was arrested in relation to the recent fraud case involving 47 Malaysian being lured to Cambodia for work, had his remand extended three days, until March 3.

His first remand order expired today. He was brought before the Magistrate’s Court here today where Magistrate Faelly Jeffrey Lanjungan allowed the application.

The 35-year-old suspect was arrested by the State Commercial Crime Investigation Department on Feb 23, and was initially remanded for four days in the first remand application.

So far, 23 police reports have been lodged in relation to the earlier mentioned fraud case and a total of three suspects have been arrested.

The remand order for the other two suspects expires tomorrow. — DayakDaily
