Calling for blood donors to maintain sufficient blood supply

KUCHING, Jan 6: Healthy and eligible people are urged to step forward and give lifesaving blood this Sunday (Jan 10) at a blood drive on the second floor of Kuching Central Mall between 9am to 2pm.

The Federation of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions Chinese Associations Youth Section organised the blood donation campaign in response to the call by the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for help to maintain a sufficient blood supply during this challenging time.

Co-organised with Kuching Fui Tung Onn Youth Association, Yuan Man Ren Sheng Kuching and Lions Club, this campaign is also supported by the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) Kuching District and SGH Blood Bank.


The organisers, in a media release today, thus made a fresh appeal for healthy blood donors to step up and be part of this noble deed of saving lives through donating blood.

Successful donors will bring home goodies including biscuits, milk, white sugar, rice, mineral water and meal coupons as tokens of appreciation.
