KUCHING, Sept 28: Kuching Bodhi Counselling Centre (Kuching Bodhi) will launch a suicide prevention education exhibition at Kuching Vivacity Megamail from Oct 8 to 9.
In a statement, Kuching Bodhi said the event will be held in response to the World Health Organisation and the International Association for Suicide Prevention’s 2022 theme “Creating Hope Through Action”.
This suicide prevention education exhibition will not only seek to educate the public about suicide prevention information with easy-to-understand posters but will also host several interactive psychotherapy activities such as drum circles, stress relief yoga, ‘let’s talk’ sessions, and free hugs.
“In addition to the activities, the organisers have also invited major mental health groups and units in Kuching to come and share their mental health/counselling services,” said Kuching Bodhi.
The Suicide Prevention Education Exhibition organised by Kuching Bodhi Counselling Centre is fully supported by Sarawak Timber Association (STA). — DayakDaily
