BN election campaign flags vandalised

MIRI, May 1: Members of Tudan Phase 4’s village security and development committee (JKKK) were shocked when they found six Barisan Nasional (BN) flags damaged and scattered all over outside a building on Sunday morning (April 29).

Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah confirmed a report over the incident was lodged on April 30 (Monday) morning.

“We believe the incident happened in the wee hours on Sunday prior to the discovery,” he said when contacted by DayakDaily.

No arrests have been made yet and police are still investigating the incident.

“Investigation on the incident is underway under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief,” Lim said, refusing to comment further. — DayakDaily
