Bau police arrest three men for drug offences at Jalan Gua Angin

KUCHING, Aug 11: Three people were arrested for alleged drug offences at a house at Jalan Gua Angin, Bau this afternoon.

The police raided the unoccupied house at 12.30pm, as the three suspects were inside the house.

According to Bau District Police Chief DSP Poge Nyaon, upon searching the first suspect, 52, police discovered a small transparent packet with 0.32 grammes of crystal substances inside his trousers pocket.

The police also found a total of 0.27 grammes of crystal substances on a table near where the second suspect, 29, was standing.


Meanwhile, the third suspect, 37, surrendered a straw tube with 0.82 grammes of crystal substances in it to the police.

All three suspects tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine via urine tests and were remanded for further investigation.

The case will be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
