KUCHING, Sept 6: Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan attended the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in Putrajaya yesterday (Sept 5).
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Awang Tengah was representing Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. The meeting was also attended by representatives of other State governments.
During the meeting, Ismail Sabri disclosed that Malaysia is committed to developing its water supply sector sustainably, in line with the United Nations’ (UN) SDGs.
He also said Malaysia is among the countries committed towards SDG objectives which have been adopted by the UN in September 2015 to be met by 2030. — DayakDaily
