According to Sibu Resident Wong Hee Sieng, this edition of the annual event will be inaugurated by Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah on Sept 16.

The closing ceremony will take place on the following day at Dataran Cafe, Sibu Townsquare and will be officiated by Wong himself.

“Apart from the skydiving event, the participants will also be taken on the Sibu River Cruiser to enjoy the beautiful view of Batang Rajang,” he said in the final meeting of the Sibu International Base Jump Working Committee at Sibu Resident Office recently.

The iconic event, which enters its 12th edition this year, was halted for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
