KUCHING, March 31: An enlisted man claimed trial to a charge of committing an act of gross indecency on a 25-year-old man.
Mohd Rafiq Mansor, represented by counsel Christopher Bada pleaded not guilty to the charge framed.
Magistrate Zaiton Anuar allowed the accused to be released on a cash bail of RM2,000 with two local sureties.
Mohd Rafiq was charged with committing gross indecency with a man, 25, at a car park area in Jalan Chan Chin Ann, at about 4am, on December 1, 2018.
He was charged under Section 377D of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term that may extend to two years, upon conviction.
