Applications for 160 stalls for MBKS’ Ramadan, Aidilfitri bazaars now open

KUCHING, Feb 13: Applications for 160 stalls for the Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaars organised by the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) at the Stutong Commercial Centre and Stutong Community Market car parks from March 23-April 21 are now open.

MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said those interested could obtain the application form from the One-Stop Service Counter 9 at the council’s headquarters starting today (Feb 13) during office hours.

“All completed forms must be submitted on or before 4pm on Feb 24 together with a deposit of RM100, and any late applications will not be entertained,” he told a press conference held at MBKS headquarters today.

He emphasised that all applicants must also submit their food handlers course certificate and a copy of their Covid-19 vaccination certificate and undergo a medical checkup with typhoid vaccination (at their own cost).

“Successful applicants will have to pay a rental fee of RM250 per stall for the Ramadhan Stall and RM500 per stall for the Aidilfitri stall,” he said.

Meanwhile, the organising chairman for Ramadan and Aidilfitri Bazaar 2023, Drahman Jaladin, said Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari is expected to officiate at the opening ceremony of the bazaars.

Apart from that, he said, they will organise several programmes, namely a Bubur Lambuk distribution programme. — DayakDaily
