KUCHING, Oct 27: The AirAsia Ride e-hailing service will provide more employment opportunities for Sarawakians as well as create more options for those who use such services, says Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin.

The Minister of Transport Sarawak said the arrival of the service has elevated demand for e-hailing drivers in the State.

“I understand that the AirAsia Ride fleet programme also provides drivers with Employment Provident Fund (EPF), registers them with Social Security Organisation (Socso), has insurance coverage, provides better pay as well as job stability,” said Lee, whose text speech was read by his deputy Datuk Dr Jerip Susil after launching the AirAsia Ride e-hailing service at the Old Court House today.

He hoped that tourists and e-hailing drivers will benefit from AirAsia Ride, as it provides more choices for locals when using such services.

AirAsia Ride is also offering free rides for all new users in Kuching, with the promo code ‘FREERIDE’ starting today (Oct 27) until Oct 29. Click on the ‘Ride’ icon on the AirAsia Super App to find out more. — DayakDaily
