KUCHING, March 13: It is hoped that there will be political stability in Johor following Barisan Nasional’s (BN) landslide victory in the Johor state election yesterday (March 12).
Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, Performing Arts, Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the people of Johor have chosen and BN will be the state government of the day.
“The voters in Johor have voted and the process of democracy has been done. Congratulations to BN for their big win.
“We hope with this big win, we will see political stability in Johor,” he said when contacted today.
BN swept 40 out of 56 seats the Johor state polls while opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan (PH) managed to scoop up 12 seats.
Perikatan Nasional (PN), helmed by former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin won three seats, and opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim’s Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) won only one seat. — DayakDaily
