KUCHING, Dec 18: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will not be taking in any political frogs upon forming the State government.

Its chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg confirmed this when answering a reporter’s query whether the government bloc would be open to accept any interested Opposition assemblymen.

“We don’t like frogs and we don’t want frogs. Some frogs are blind, you know,” he said at a press conference held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) tonight.

Abang Johari was also asked to comment on Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) which have lost the bulk of the seats they contested in during the State election.

To this, he simply said, “The people (have decided and) say Sarawak is better looked after by Sarawakians.”

At the moment, Election Commission (EC) officials are still completing their vote tabulations but the updated data has shown that GPS has already secured more than two-thirds seat majority to form the new government. — DayakDaily
