SARATOK, Oct 20: A 94-year-old man from Rh Federick Juan in Kumpai Krian who was reported missing since Thursday evening (Oct 17) was found dead today.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the deceased was found by the longhouse residents 100 metres away from his last seen location at 2.50pm.
The body was later handed over to the police for further action, ending the three-day search at 3.30pm.
Based on earlier reports, the deceased left his home heading towards the farm around 500 metres from the longhouse but did not return on Thursday evening (Oct 17).
A search and rescue (SAR) operation then commenced, with assistance from 15 longhouse residents, covering a one-kilometre radius from the last known location of the elderly man.
At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white T-shirt and short pants. — DayakDaily
