KUCHING, April 23: Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang has been reappointed as Deputy Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).
According to a report by Sarawak’s Information Department (Jabatan Penerangan Sarawak), the swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
The ceremony began with the receipt of the letter of appointment, followed by the swearing-in session as Deputy Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, before proceeding with the signing of the letter of appointment by Idris Buang.
The ceremony was also witnessed by the wife of the Head of State, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
Also present at the ceremony were the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Asfia Awang Nassar, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts cum Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah; and other guests of honour. – DayakDaily
