MATU, July 25: Some 80 per cent of the 30,000 residents in Pulau Bruit have received the Covid-19 vaccine.
Revealing this, Pulau Bruit Graduates Association secretary Raduan Serap said that he was informed by the authority that 80 per cent of the residents had been vaccinated while there were some others who are still adopting a wait-and-see attitude.
“With the ramping up in the vaccination programme, I hope that the State can achieve herd immunity,” he said in a statement.
The association today donated 360 bottles of drinking water to frontliners in Matu and Pulau Bruit vaccination centres (PPV).
“We have taken the initiative to donate drinking water as we are in a dry spell now. We did this as our show of appreciation to the frontliners who have been working tirelessly to ensure that the vaccination programme is implemented smoothly,” said Raduan.
The association, he said, is active in community work and would always respond to the call for assistance. — DayakDaily
