KUCHING, Oct 4: A 67-year-old man succumbed to injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident along Jalan Kidurong, Bintulu.
The victim, identified as Dai Swee Fah @ Tai Swee Fah, was pronounced dead at the location by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the accident at 8.55am and deployed Bomba Kidurong to the location.
The operations commander reported that the accident involved a Perodua Kancil crashing into a roadside tree, resulting in the victim being pinned on the driver’s seat.
After assessing the situation, the rescue team then proceeded to extract the victim, who was later handed over to the medical team on standby at the location for further action. — DayakDaily
