BINTULU, July 4: A 61-year-old motorcylist was confirmed dead following a collision that left his motorcycle wedged under a bus at Batu 12, Jalan Bintulu-Samalaju early this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) responded to the emergency at 7.07am, prompting the dispatch of an operation release team (PKO) to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a motorcycle wedged under a bus along with the elderly male victim.
He was successfully extricated but was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (KKM).
After handing over the victim to the police, the PKO team cleared the road of accident debris. Once the area was deemed safe and under control, the team returned to the station. — DayakDaily
