KUCHING, March 3: A 58-year-old local Chinese man was found unconscious inside his vehicle in a suspected suicide at the parking area of a double-storey house in Taman Hui Sing, Kuching, this morning.
In a media statement issued today, Kuching District Police Chief Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said officers arrived at the scene to investigate further and found the deceased inside the vehicle.
“The car’s exhaust pipe had been connected to the interior, which was tightly sealed.
“Additionally, a pan containing burned charcoal was discovered in the trunk of the vehicle,” he stated.
An ambulance from the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) confirmed that the man had passed away at the scene. His body was subsequently sent to the Forensic Department of SGH for a post-mortem examination.
The police urge the public not to speculate about this incident out of respect for the sensitivity of the deceased’s family.
