Police hunt four suspects involved in home invasion at Jalan Bako

KUCHING, May 2: Police are tracking down four suspects involved in a house invasion early this morning at Jalan Bako, Petra Jaya, where a 60-year-old man and his family were tied up during the ordeal.

According to Kuching District Police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the incident occurred at around 2.45am when four masked intruders entered the victim’s home and restrained the occupants.

The victims later managed to free themselves and attempted to fend off the attackers, during which the 60-year-old victim sustained a minor injury under his chin.

Authorities are now actively working on identifying and apprehending the suspects. The case is being investigated under section 394 of the Penal Code which carries a penalty of up to 20 years’ imprisonment and may include a fine or whipping.
