58yo man, 4yo grandson injured in 4 car collision at Jalan Pujut 7, Miri

MIRI, May 12: A 58-year-old man and his grandson, aged 4, were rushed to Miri Hospital after a car that they were travelling in was involved in a four-car collision at Jalan Pujut 7 today.

According to a spokesperson from the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), the boy sustained injuries on his upper lip.

His grandfather sustained neck injuries and was extricated by APM personnel before being stretchered to an ambulance.

“Both have been rushed to hospital by our personnel who arrived at the scene at around 12.37pm,” said the spokesperson.

Initial investigations revealed that the Proton Persona driven by the victim had crashed into a car in front which had suddenly stopped.

“The victim did not managed to switch lanes,” said the APM spokesperson. — DayakDaily
