TANJUNG MANIS, Sept 5: A 55-year-old man who was reported missing in the forest at Kampung Jerijeh has been found dead today.
A spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said the victim, Affendi Morsidi, was found at around 11.40 this morning.
“The victim was declared dead by medical officers from the Health Ministry before being handed over to the police for further action,” said the spokesperson in a statement today.
Affendi was said to have entered the forest to look for wood to hang a flag at around 11am yesterday (Sept 4).
However, later in the evening, his family realised he still had not returned, and they lodged a missing person’s report.
