SEBUYAU, July 8: Kampung Entangor Sebuyau in upper Sebangan River with almost 500 population is now linked with a good road network with the completion of Kpg Klait-Entangor Road.

The completion of the road built at a cost of RM27 million will also bring great convenience to other villages within the vicinity like Kpg Klait, Kpg Jeragam, Kpg Bulan, Kpg Kesindu and SK Bulan Jeragam.

Prior to the completion of the road, the people of Kpg Entangor Sebuyau had to traverse Sebangan River by boat to reach the village, a trip that could take between four and five hours.

Assistant Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Julaihi Narawi, who officiated at the road completion ceremony thanked the state government for the project.

“The state government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is always aware of the needs of the people in rural areas.

“We prefer less politicking, but focus on bringing development to the people, chiefly in rural areas,” said Julaihi, who is Sebuyau assemblyman.

Julaihi also officiated the completed RM600,000 Kpg Entangor Sebuyau road project and the RM650,000 community hall.

He later announced RM5,000 each to Kpg Entangor Sebuyau village development and security committee (JKKK) and the women bureau, and another RM150,000 for the futsal court.

He also announced RM10,000 for SK St Andrew’s Parents Teachers Association (PTA).—DayakDaily
