MIRI, Jan 3: Residents of Kampung Sungai Dalam, along Jalan Miri-Bintulu, suffered a rude jolt at about 11.30am today when a four-wheel drive vehicle veered off the road and damaged two cars parked by the roadside.
The 4WD, driven by an auxiliary policeman working for an estate, slammed into a Perodua Myvi and the huge impact caused the subcompact car to ram into a Proton Saga parked nearby.
No one was hurt in the freak accident.
The Myvi car owner, who is a mechanic, said he had parked his car barely 30 minutes before the mishap occurred.
“Fortunately, my wife and kid were not in the car during the collision,” said the 25-year-old, adding that he and his family had just arrived from Bakun. — DayakDaily
