KUCHING, Oct 20: A total of 36 junior athletes from Kuching Taekwondo and Self-Defence Club (WTF) Jalan Satok to represent Sarawak in the 12th TM (WTF)-KBS-Milo National Junior Taekwondo Championship 2023.
The event will be held from Oct 20 to 22 at Dewan Tuanku Canselor, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Bandar Baru Nilai, in Negeri Sembilan.
The athletes are Hugh Teng Chen Hang, Hendra Teng Ti Jing, Daniel Kon Cheng Hee, Ammar Khalish Shamsuri, Liew Yuan Song, Chloe Tan You Xin, Emir Ryyan Zefni Abdullah, Calvin Iester Lim Teck Shen, Edison Phang Kheng Kai, Leoston Kok Zi Yi, Ephraim moh Hiong Khing, Tan Wen Shiuan, Ayden Hale Lee Farhan Lee Abdullah, Constantine Rodau Chua Daniel Roy, Kuan Zhen Hui, Jonathan Rixie Ryan, Syamimi Lee Xing, Jong Thian Fatt, Mohamad Zulhafiz Zulhadi, AJ Ong Yang Yi, Pretty Amisha Amanda Francesca, Aleesya Maisarah Mohamad Nor Arbi, Eleopatra Eva Landan, Umairah Elsa Al-Fatinah Mohd Yusuf, Mior Adam Darwisy Mior Sarfin, Lincoln Bassu Landan, Awanis Maisara Mohd Nor Arbi, Iris Nur Irdina Mohd Yusof, Cinta Kirana Mohamad Nazid, Harry Daniel Hunter, Anuwath A/L Sarat, Adam Mukhsein Mohd Nor Arbi, Zaara Nur Zafirah Mohd Yusof, Avila Vianney Tet-Foot, Fedealis Kom Twin, and Qoid Arfa Luqman Hakim.
In a statement today, coach Tan Cheng Qiang said the athletes will be led by him and assisted by coaches Virtlam Umpau and Eimran Ghaffary Mohamad Daud. They will depart tomorrow (Oct 21).
He also said they will meet with other selected Sarawak team athletes and coaches from Bintulu, Sibu, and Miri to assemble for the national junior event. — DayakDaily
