KUCHING, Oct 24: The youngest among nine Covid-19 deaths reported in Sarawak today is a 35-year-old female from Miri who had diabetes and obesity.
According to record by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), her date of passing was on Oct 22 at the Miri Hospital.
On the same day, there was another Covid-19 fatality that involved an 82-year-old male from Bintulu who suffered from hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart disease and chronic lung disease.
Prior to that, on Oct 16, 17, 20 and 21, a total of six other deaths were registered, with victims between 61 to 89 years old, and all with comorbidities.
The ninth mortality due to Covid-19, a 42-year-old female from Samarahan, was on Oct 23. She had medical histories of hypertension and asthma.
With that, the cumulative number of Covid-19 deaths in Sarawak stands at 1,201 as of today. — DayakDaily
