3 suspects believed responsible for 7 house break-ins arrested in Sibu

SIBU, March 23: Police believe they have solved a spate of seven house break-in cases with the arrest of three men.

Sibu district police chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said from Feb 1 to March 19, its crime investigation department launched an operation to wipe out housebreaking cases.

“As a result of this operation, three men aged between 25 to 28 were arrested,” he said.


The suspects, he explained, have previous records for housebreaking, theft and drug abuse.

Police also seized a host of items which the suspects had stolen.

“With their arrest, we believe we have solved seven house break-in cases,” he said.

The suspects have been remanded for investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
