3 RTP projects worth RM650k to be implemented in Mambong this year

KUCHING, May 2: Three projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) worth RM650,000 will be implemented in Mambong constituency this year.

The projects, which are expected to kick off this August are the construction of two new multipurpose halls in Kpg Bengoh Rais at a cost of RM300,000 and Kpg Nusaraya (RM250,000) besides the upgrading of the multipurpose hall in Kpg Taba Sait at Bengoh Resettlement Scheme costing RM100,000.


“All the projects which are under RTP have been approved by Datuk Dr Jerip Susil and we expect them (the three projects) to start in August this year,” said Public Works Department (JKR) Kuching engineer Lau Yik Hung during a site visit.

Assistant Minister of Transport Dr Jerip is also Mambong assemblyman.

Present during the site visit was personal assistant to Dr Jerip, Robert Keron to meet with the village chiefs and members of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of the three villages.

Meanwhile, Dr Jerip has also approved RM100,000, also under the RTP to upgrade the village road in Kpg Emperoh Giam Asar, in which the inspection was carried out last Tuesday with JKR officials. — DayakDaily
