KUCHING, Dec 9: Twenty-three Pramuka (Indonesia’s Scouts movement) members visited the Sarawak Scout Heritage Gallery at the Sarawak Scout Headquarters in Jalan Batu Lintang yesterday (Dec 8).

In a statement today, the Sarawak Scouts said the group leader, Dr Firdaus Zar’in, S.Pd., M.Si, said his entourage was on a four-day goodwill visit to Kuching City.

During the visit, he greatly appreciated the Sarawak Scouts hosting a reception for their entourage.

Meanwhile, Chief Scout Commissioner of Sarawak, Capt Zainuddin Tan Sri Hamdan, said Sarawak Scouts are delighted to receive a visit from Pramuka members to the gallery.

He pointed out that the Pramuka members’ visit had rekindled the first visit by Sarawak scout leaders to Pramuka of Kota Pontianak, dating back to Dec 18, 1981.

He also hoped more goodwill visits would be organised between Sarawak Scout and Pramuka to continue helping each other to groom more youngsters to be good citizens and valuable individuals. — DayakDaily
