21yo man suffers head injuries after alleged leap from flat

KUCHING, Feb 7: A 21-year-old man suffered head injuries after allegedly jumping from a flat on Jalan Setia Raja last night (Feb 6).

According to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station, along with police and paramedics, rushed to the scene after being alerted at 11.18pm.

The victim’s family claims he leaped from the third floor and landed on a parked car.


“Upon arriving at the scene, it was found that a man in his 20s, exhibiting aggressive behaviour, had suffered a head injury, and was still on the fourth floor.

“Firefighters acted to persuade and calm the victim and managed to rescue the victim at 11.33pm,” read the statement.

The victim was then handed over to the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) at 12.10am and taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for treatment.

The operation ended at 12.11am. — DayakDaily
