“Out of 42 projects that have been approved, 21 have been completed, 16 are under implementation and five projects will be retendered to ensure more effective execution and timely delivery,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Nanta, who is also the Minister of Works and Kapit MP, said discussions centred on infrastructure planning, community wellbeing and a phased, more sustainable development direction for the Ulu Rajang region.

He stressed that strong and continuous collaboration between agencies is essential to ensure development initiatives translate into real benefits for rural communities.

“As chairman of URDA, I believe this close cooperation is key to ensuring every development initiative can be implemented efficiently and deliver direct benefits to the rural population,” he said.

Also present at the meeting were RECODA chief executive officer Datu Ismawi Ismuni and senior officers from the authority. – DayakDaily
