KUCHING, April 12: A 20-year-old man is suspected to have perished from electrocution at his squatter home in RPR Sebiew, Jalan Air in Bintulu today.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak reported that its Bintulu Station received a distress call at about 2.18pm and a team led by officer Polly Untang was immediately despatched to the scene.

The Bomba team together with paramedics from the Ministry of Health had to take a boat to cross a river to get to the scene where they discovered the victim unconscious.

Paramedics confirmed that the victim had died at the scene.

The Bomba team facilitated in transporting the deceased’s body across river before handing him over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
