KUCHING, May 14: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced the extension of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) implemented at Rh Payau, Emperan Datuk, in Sg Pinang, Pakan for another two weeks starting today.
SDMC in a press statement today, said the two-week ECMO extension will start from May 14 until May 27, 2021.
At the same time, SDMC also announced the termination of EMCO implemented in Rh Saran Belang, Nanga Tau, in Tatau, today (May 14).
On another note, Julau is the only district in the orange zone status today, as other districts’ statuses remain unchanged.
According to SDMC, Julau returned to the orange status from the red zone status today, after only recording a total of 40 local infection cases in the last fortnight.
This reduced the number of districts with the red zone status to 27 districts, with only one district with the orange zone status, and 10 districts in the yellow zone status, while two others districts maintained their green status.
As of today, the 27 districts with the red zone status are namely Tatau, Tebedu, Betong, Pusa, Bau, Belaga, Sebauh, Sri Aman, Lundu, Pakan, Song, Bukit Mabong, Kanowit, Selangau, Saratok, Subis, Mukah, Sarikei, Beluru, Samarahan, Serian, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu, while Julau is the only district with the orange zone status.
The 10 districts in the yellow zone status are Lawas, Matu, Tanjung Manis, Simunjan, Marudi, Asajaya, Dalat, Daro, Lubok Antu and Limbang, and in the green zone are Telang Usan and Kabong. — DayakDaily
