2 suspected burglars end up empty-handed, lose `their’ motorcycle

RC members brought the motorcycle to the police station.

MIRI, August 25: Two apparently greenhorn burglars ended up `losing’ a motorcycle when they fumbled in their attempt to sneak into a shipping company at about 1.15am Saturday.

It is understood that they had smashed a glass window to gain entry into the premises at Jee Foh Road, but their clumsiness alerted a tenant staying on the ground floor. The tenant immediately called the company’s owner.

Members of the Resident Committee (RC) of Pujut, Piasau and Saberkas were also informed.

Upon sensing that their presence had been detected, the suspected burglars immediately fled the scene on foot, leaving the motorcycle they came with behind.

The RC members then brought the motorcycle to the police station. At press time, it is unsure whether the motorbike is stolen property. — DayakDaily
