KUCHING, April 29: Two people were killed in a road accident near Kampung Bakol in Limbang.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the accident at 2.57pm and deployed Bomba Limbang to the location.
The operations commander reported that the accident involved a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle and a lorry carrying gravel.
Mohamad Ardie, 39, was thrown out of the vehicle while Ngu Tiong Hieng, 33, was pinned to the driver’s seat as a result of the crash, and both were unconscious.
Ngu was later extracted by firefighters using rescue tools, and both victims were confirmed dead at the location by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The bodies were later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
