161 Indonesian palm oil plantation workers in Long Lama vaccinated

KUCHING, Sept 2: About 161 Indonesian plantation workers in Long lama have received their full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday.

According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the foreign workers consisted of those without documentation, and worked in the palm oil plantation around Telang Usan.

Meanwhile, on Aug 31, a total of 217 individuals have been vaccinated at the Long Lama Covid-19 vaccination center (PPV).


Out of the 217, a total of 202 individuals received their second dose of vaccine, and 15 other individuals received their first dose.

Of the 202, 80 per cent (161) are Indonesian workers, while the rest (41) are local residents. – DayakDaily.
