134 villagers from Kpg Nyegol and Kpg Muk Ayun, Bengoh receive second dose of Covid-19 vaccine

KUCHING, Aug 8: Some 134 people from Kpg Nyegol and Kpg Muk Ayun in upper Bengoh dam received their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

Assistant Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil was glad to note the positive response from the villagers in the effort to curb Covid-19 virus.


The villagers have received the first dose on July 17.

The exercise is part of the Vaccine Outreach Programme conducted by 10th Mile Medical Clinic and Bayur Health Clinic.

It was participated by 14 medical staff from both clinics and volunteers led by Dr Jerip, who is Mambong assemblyman.

A similar exercise is also held today at Kpg Sapit in upper Padawan, where 100 people will receive the vaccination.

Among those present were Kuching Resident Sherrina Hussaini, who is Kuching Division Disaster Management Committee chairman, and Sarawak administrative officer from Padawan sub-district office Julius Scott Sapong.— DayakDaily
