125 villagers in Kpg Sapit, Padawan receive 2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccine

KUCHING, Aug 9: The Vaccination Outreach Programme for Padawan sub-district is progressing smoothly with 125 people in Kpg Sapit, Padawan receiving their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

Two of the villagers could not be vaccinated after being found positive of Covid-19 and are under quarantine at the quarantine centre.


A day earlier, some 134 people from two villages, namely Kpg Nyegol and Kpg Muk Ayun, in upper Bengoh dam also received their second dose of the vaccination under the programme.

For yesterday’s event, it was carried out by Padawan Health Clinic and 10th Health Clinic, where Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil himself assisted with the vaccination process.

“So far, our vaccination outreach programme has received a very positive response from the villages and in every villages we go, we managed to have 99 per cent villagers coming,” said Dr Jerip, who is Assistant Minister of Transport.

He added the team will also go to Kpg Kiding, also in upper Padawan on Aug 14 for the second dose of the vaccination.

According to him, the villagers have received their first dose on July 18.— DayakDaily
