KUCHING, June 6: 11Ridgeway is the city’s latest community-driven event space for those who wish to hold gathering or meetings.

Located at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee, the cosy and forest-like venue allows the hosting of events, workshops and co-working space for individuals or groups to work on their ideas.

Spearheaded by Fiona Marcus Raja and Desmond Wong, 11Ridgeway plans to engage with the local communities, empower youth, boost tourism, encourage activities as well as promote and preserve the culture and arts of Sarawak.

Events ranging from meetings and training programmes to children workshops and culinary classes are welcome at 11Ridgeway, which boasts up to 10,000 feet of available space.

“Local talents can create, innovate, meet, greet, work, network or just enjoy themselves as 11Ridgeway strives to be the driving platform for tourism, arts, youth, culture and sports,” Fiona said at the launching today.

“Here at 11Ridgeway, we are all about connecting communities through events, with plenty of options for all organisers, regardless of big or small. Be it a garden party, craft workshop, corporate meeting or networking session, our community spaces welcome all in a pleasant, accessible and friendly environment.”

Their recent event includes collaborating with organisations such as Sarawak Tourism Federation, KINO magazine, Trifold X, Orion Social Media and iCube.

As part of their CSR program, 11Ridgeway has pledged five per cent of their rental earnings to Royce Foundation to create awareness and to support the community carers. — DayakDaily
